We make Los Angeles homes safe for babies, toddlers and pets, and we try to leave them looking the way you like them.
Childproofing LA is an in-home childproofing service for families across LA County and the Conejo Valley. We do one thing: look at a home the way a child will, then fix what matters with hardware that fits the house.
How we think about childproofing
Most injuries at home come from a short list of things: falls on stairs and from windows, furniture and TVs tipping over, and children getting into what is stored low. We focus on those first and do not sell a pile of gadgets you will never use.
Los Angeles adds its own list. Many homes have open stairs, glass and horizontal railings, multiple levels on a hillside, a pool in the yard, and every home sits in earthquake country. That is why furniture anchoring and water heater strapping are part of every assessment.
What we install
Baby gates, furniture and TV anchors, cabinet and door locks, window stops, stair and balcony guards, fireplace and outlet safety, pet gates and pet doors, and earthquake safety hardware. Each one has its own page under services.
What we refer to other pros
Some safety work needs a specialist license. Pool fences, electrical changes such as new outlets, and gas line work such as automatic seismic shutoff valves belong to licensed specialty contractors, electricians and plumbers. We point these out during the assessment so nothing gets missed.
